Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about comparing business electricity, gas, water and card machines with Maxim Energy.

Does it cost anything to get a quote?

No. Asking for a quote or a bill review is free and there is no obligation to switch. We may receive commission from suppliers, which is included in your unit rates, and we will explain this before you agree to anything.

Will my supply be interrupted if I switch?

No. Switching supplier is an administrative change. The same pipes, cables and meters keep supplying your premises.

Can I switch before my current contract ends?

Often, yes. Many suppliers let you agree a new contract ahead of your end date so it starts the day your current one finishes.

What do you need from me?

A recent bill for each utility is usually enough. It shows your supplier, meter numbers, tariff and usage.

What happens if I've just moved into new premises?

Let us know your move-in date and meter readings. We can help with the change of tenancy and arrange a contract so you're not left on default rates.

Can you help with card machines too?

Yes. Share a recent merchant statement and we can compare card terminal options and transaction fees for your business.

Are calls recorded?

Calls may be recorded for training and quality purposes.
